Hi, my name is Aiyana Dothard, aka Aswagg. I’ve been dancing since I was 8 and was in a little hip-hop crew back in my hometown of Rock Island, Illinois. I moved to Colorado in June of 2017 when I was 11. I am now 18 and graduated from Skyline High School in May of 2024. During my second year of living in Colorado, I joined a competitive team and had so much fun but realized it wasn’t for me. I went back to being an independent dancer and traveling for dance. I’ve done concept videos, stage performances, parades, and music videos for an Afrobeat artist named E.M.E. While with him, I’ve opened for Common and Bow Wow. Hopefully, there are many more opportunities to come. I have also trained in LA a couple of times and love learning from a variety of people. I love training in all fundamentals of hip-hop, but my favorites are locking, popping, and house. Dance is an important part of my life, and I can’t see myself without it!
